In terms of controls, however, the Sony A77II has some large changes, for example, the mode dial I mentioned earlier which has new controls and a lock button. It is also extremely ergonomic and easy to handle just like the original A77. The build quality is excellent overall with this camera and you can have plenty of fun with it even in some more demanding conditions. For example, the biggest difference is the new mode dial and the hotshoe that is changed to a more universal style to make it appropriate for different accessories. The Sony A77II looks pretty much the same as the original A77, however, upon closer inspection you will see some interesting differences. This camera delivers has a nice sensor, a capable and strong autofocus system, and it manages to deliver some beautiful low light photographs lets take a look. Sony’s DLSR series have fallen from prominence in the last few years with the rise of their exceptional mirrorless models, however, if you are looking for a great DSLR camera under $2000, the Sony A77II is a superb pick. Definitely one of the most impressive overall. This sensor delivers some exceptional images with tons of sharpness and colors, and the ISO range that spans from 100 to 51,200 can be boosted up to 1,640,000 to deliver some great low light photographs. The Nikon D500 is packed with an impressive 21 megapixel APS-C sized CMOS sensor that is combined very well with the Expeed 5 image-processing engine. It also has a 200 shot raw buffer and the battery life is about 1,240 shots. Also, I can note that it is extremely fast overall and when combined with its amazing 10 frames per second burst shooting mode, it is an absolute beast. It is a Multi-Cam 20K autofocus system that does its job greatly and can focus down to -4EV centrally and down to -3EV at other points. One of the most impressive things about this camera is the superb autofocus performance which is packed with 153 focus points of which 99 are more accurate cross-type. The viewfinder was better than expected and delivered a 100 percent coverage of the scene which made it an exceptional tool. It has a 3.2-inch TFT LCD screen which is a touch-capacitive, but it isn’t very useful for a weird reason. The controls of the Nikon D500 are pretty interesting as well, pretty good for creative freedom, and if you have used a Nikon camera before you will feel right at home. Pretty durable and ready for action overall. For things that it offers it is pretty light as well weighing just 860grams in total. It might not have a full metal body like the D5 but it has a magnesium alloy construction and superb weather sealing that gets the job done in any condition. The Nikon D500 replaces the D300 and it is pretty much the smaller sibling of the high-end D5. ![]() It has a great and speedy autofocus system that combines well with the speedy burst shooting, weather-sealed body, and impressive image quality. This camera has delivered some pleasing qualities that make it a capable action camera for the APS-C format models. We are going to start this list with an interesting option here, the Nikon D500.
